This immersive experience offers guided tours of our agroforestry farm and market garden, interactive nature-based craft sessions, and hands-on learning about ecological farming practices.
Highlights:
• Guided Farm Tours: Explore our diverse agroforestry systems and market garden. Learn about sustainable farming, permaculture principles, and ecological growing methods. Guided tours are scheduled at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM and require pre-booking due to limited spaces. You can book by clicking here.
• Family Permaculture Activities: Engage in creative sessions makig seed bombs and bug hotels as well as a host of other immersive activities. Suitable for all ages.
• In Conversation with Anne Rivett: Learn about our Wildflower Meadows as well as our Sowing the Seeds project.
•Explore our No Dig Community Market Garden: With our Head Grower, Amer.

*Please note that parking at the farm is limited. We strongly encourage guests to walk or cycle if possible. Once all parking spaces are full, entry will be temporarily closed until space becomes available*
Admission: Free entry for all ages.

Free Educational Visits
With the Wild CIC is committed to environmental education and sustainable food systems. Our work at Higher Barn Farm demonstrates how agriculture can be both productive and regenerative, offering valuable lessons for the next generation. Thanks to support from Country Stewardship Grants, we are excited to be able to offer unique and completely free educational opportunities at the farm, for students in educational settings.

Our educational visits are carefully crafted to complement the national curriculum whilst immersing students in a living example of sustainable agriculture. During a visit, we will offer;
Guided Agroforestry Tours: Learn how we integrate trees, crops, and livestock to create a sustainable farm ecosystem that enhances biodiversity and productivity.
Permaculture Workshops: Discover the principles behind our permaculture design and how they contribute to environmental stewardship and guide our farm design.
Hands-on activities: Engage in practical activities such as planting and harvesting, to better understand food production processes.
Wildlife and Nature Exploration: Observe the diverse wildlife and natural ecosystems that our sustainable farming practices support.
